Plan Room

We have two take-off rooms for our members, located in Downtown Merced. In the office, we also have large format scanners and printers in case you need just a few pages, especially useful for sub-contractors. (There is a small charge per page.) We also provide access to a modern computer with high-speed internet access.

Legal Notices

Our weekly newsletter includes lots of important information for local contractors. Bid dates, pre-bid information, planholders list, requests for bids, bid results, notice of completions, mechanic liens, city & county permits, safety topics, and advertisements targeted for contractors are all in our newsletter.

Safety

The Golden State Builders Exchange (GSBE) is an association of California's many Professional Builders Exchanges. The main purpose is to provide builders with workers' compensation insurance. This Exchange is also a member of the Contractors Insurance Safety Council (CISC) Group 44 program.

Membership

Members have access to project plans in several ways. Plans and spec books can be downloaded, viewed in the take-off rooms or checked out. Also, the newsletter has lots of information on local bids, notices and liens. There's also workers' comp, a membership directory, safety material and large format copiers.
